TASTE OF EAST CAPE 2016

Club Rotario de Los Barriles and Club Deportivo together sponsored the "Taste of the East Cape 2016" November 28th at Laguna Park. Thirteen of our local restaurants participated, and each ticket entitled the holder to 1 taste per restaurant and 1 drink of their choice. Those who attended the event were asked to vote for their top three samplings of each restaurant's cuisine. The event was a huge success, bringing in $4300 usd, to be split between Club Rotario and Club Deportivo, who support youth athletic activities in our small community.
The success was also reflected by over 200 people voting for their favorite tastes. The results of the competition proved we could not single out just three, but had to increase the list to the best five out of thirteen restaurants, who were in a virtual tie for first place. Each of those five received a Certificate of Excellence for their efforts at the Taste. Look for these certificates displayed at the following winners (which are listed in alphabetical order, not in order of popularity): Amelia's of Santiago, , Campestre Triny Resataurante, Carmen's, La Playa Resaurant & Bar, and Smokey's Bar and Grill.
Thank you to all the restaurants who participated. You all worked very hard and your efforts were well received by the over 200 people who attended. And thanks to all those who came out to enjoy the best of East Cape, and supported a great cause.

Club Rotario de los Barriles y Club Deportivo patrocinado conjuntamente el "sabor de la East Cape" 28 de noviembre de 2016 en Laguna Park. Trece de nuestros restaurantes locales participaron, y cada billete titulado el titular a 1 el gusto por el restaurante y 1 bebida de su elección. Quienes asistieron al evento fueron invitados a votar por sus tres primeros muestreos de cada cocina del restaurante. El evento fue un gran éxito, aportando $4300 USD, se divida entre el Club Rotario y Club Deportivo, quienes apoyan las actividades deportivas juveniles en nuestra pequeña comunidad.
El éxito también se reflejó en la votación de más de 200 personas para sus gustos favoritos. Los resultados de la competencia resultó no podríamos destacar sólo tres, pero tuvo que aumentar la lista de los mejores cinco de los trece restaurantes, que estaban en un virtual empate por el primer lugar. Cada uno de estos cinco recibió un Certificado de excelencia por sus esfuerzos al gusto. Gracias a todos los restaurantes que participaron. Todos ustedes trabajaron muy duro y sus esfuerzos fueron bien recibidos por las más de 200 personas que asistieron. Y gracias a todos los que vinieron a disfrutar de lo mejor de East Cape, y apoya una gran causa.
